What is volleyball?
Volleyball is a six-player team sport in which two teams compete to land the ball on the opponent's side of the net. Each team gets three contacts to return the ball — setting up a spike is the fundamental team skill that defines the game at every level.
Volleyball is one of the fastest-growing youth sports in Canada, with strong participation rates among both girls and boys, and a well-established pathway from recreational drop-in through to competitive club, provincial, and university programs.
